It is also more than good for Matt Thompson and his 'Empty Tank Racing' team. He had the winners of both events in his team and they helped contribute to his whopping 320 point haul this week.
But in truth, it has been a sensational weekend for the ladies, Danica won in Japan, Simona De Silvestro won the Formula Atlantic race at Long Beach and Jamie Little won the Pro-Am race. Erik Dickerson, complained to the stewards that he wasn't allowed use a stock car as a blocker in front of him, but that fell on deaf ears. Most importantly, however, Julie Werner and Maureen O'Neil have leapt to the top of the standings with more than solid selections this weekend. Team PT Cruiser, used the opportunity to pick two teams to firmly establish herself as one of the teams to beat this season.
Normality returns this weekend as the circus regroups in Kansas and we will see how the new guys adapt to the shorter ovals.
